When we say high school mathematics, we’re talking anything from Algebra all the way up to AP Calculus, and sometimes beyond. What’st largely different about tutoring high school mathematics is identifying a student’s exact weaknesses. For comparison, a college student that has to be self-studied might have identified weaknesses already. A high school student simply knows that they misunderstand, and it comes down to the math tutor to identify what his or her deficiencies actually are. Our tutors are primarily trained for this situation — to identify and correct wherein the concept the student is getting lost. Sometimes this requires backtracking to an earlier concept, and sometimes it’s as simple as adjusting their strategy for solving it. Either way, this is where the separation between A-Squared Math Tutoring and others come into play. We’re experts at spotting where a student is getting held up, and are able to correct it. What should be looking for in a high school math tutor is someone who spots these differences, and is not simply lecturing the concept again. We’re able to tutor anything your high school students bring home, including but not limited to:
- Algebra 1 / Algebra 1-2 (depending on school)
- Algebra 2 / Algebra 3-4 (depending on school)
- Geometry
- Trigonometry
- Pre-Calculus
- Personal Finance
- AP Calculus
